A woman and her passenger on a scooter in New Taipei City narrowly avoided a serious accident when a bus passing ahead pulled down overhead cables, entangling them. The cables grazed their neck and one even pierced through the skin, causing injuries. The incident highlighted the danger of unattended hanging cables, prompting calls for authorities to take action in removing them. Despite the close call, the victims sustained injuries but fortunately avoided a more severe accident.
