A woman in Taichung, Taiwan, went to an upscale steakhouse at the newly opened Phase Seven CBD Plaza to celebrate her friend's birthday, spending 12,000 NTD. During payment, the restaurant almost mistakenly charged her 24 million NTD, which alerted the bank. Fortunately, the mistake was quickly rectified by the restaurant, attributing the error to a computer system glitch that displayed the company registration number as the transaction amount. The woman was relieved that the excessive charge was not processed and received an apology from the restaurant for the oversight.
