Following the Dragon Boat Festival, venomous snakes have been frequently appearing due to the hot weather in Taiwan. A 60-year-old woman in Nantou County was bitten by a snake hidden under her washing machine while doing laundry at home. Her family quickly sent her to the hospital, where doctors identified the bite as from a venomous turtle shell snake and administered anti-snake venom serum to save her life. The hospital advised people who are bitten by snakes to seek immediate medical attention, not handle the wound themselves, and provide photos of the snake for proper treatment.
