In Nantou County, Taiwan, a woman surnamed Huang in her 60s was bitten on the ankle by a snake hiding under her washing machine while doing laundry at home. Family members rushed her to the hospital where doctors identified the snake as a 'Trimeresurus stejnegeri' based on its appearance. After receiving antivenom, the swelling and pain significantly decreased. It is advised to seek immediate medical help in case of snake bites and not attempt home remedies to reduce the risk of infection.
