A 48-year-old woman in Australia, Rouba Naboulsi, went to the hospital due to worsening abdominal pain and discovered a surgical metal clip in her intestines during an MRI scan, suspected to have been left inside during a surgery in 1997. She is suing Auburn Hospital for negligence, claiming that the metal clip had been causing severe pain and affecting her daily life. The hospital denies responsibility, citing the possibility of the clip being from a previous cesarean section. Local health authorities have requested further submissions from both parties for ongoing litigation.
