Woman Fractures Arm after Being Hit by Sedan While Crossing Road at Kouhu Rest Stop

A serious car accident occurred at the Yunlin Kouhu Rest Stop on June 25, 2024, at 7:18 am, where a woman crossing the road was hit by a sedan, resulting in her being seriously injured with a fractured right arm. The driver, after hitting the woman, continued to collide with other vehicles. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find the woman injured but with no life-threatening injuries. The incident took place at Taiwan's first West Coast Highway rest stop, which sees heavy foot traffic, particularly on weekends and holidays.
