In an incident in South Sulawesi, Indonesia on July 2, a 36-year-old woman, Siriati, went missing after going out to buy medicine and visit her family. Her husband later found her swallowed by a 9-meter python in the jungle, causing distress. Siriati, a mother of five, was believed to have been attacked by the python, suffocated, and then devoured. Her body was recovered after the python was killed. The village head estimated the attack occurred around 7:30 am on July 2.
