On June 24, 2024, in Taipei, a woman wearing a pink shirt and black pants was caught under a cement truck while crossing a zebra crossing. Despite efforts to rescue her, she was critically injured and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the cement truck was found to have a breath alcohol level of 0.11, although he claimed it was due to cold medicine and denied drunk driving.
