A female pet owner in Banciao, New Taipei City, was found to be raising a total of 81 dogs and cats inside a 20-ping apartment, neglecting her responsibilities, and allowing the animals to live in an environment filled with feces and urine. The owner, who had a history of similar offenses, was fined a total of NT$485,500 for various violations, including failure to microchip the pets, sterilize them, and provide regular rabies vaccinations. The unsanitary conditions of the apartment have caused disturbances to neighboring residents, prompting authorities to intervene and urge the owner to improve the situation or consider rehoming some of the animals.
