On June 11, 2024, in the morning at 4:50, a female rider in New Taipei City reportedly crashed into a million-dollar car that was illegally parked on the roadside while allegedly texting and riding her motorcycle. This incident occurred on Fude North Road in Sanchong, New Taipei City, causing the driver of the parked car to be startled. The rider, surnamed Yang, was distracted by either texting or looking at something on the footboard, which led to the collision. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries, but the driver of the parked car was found to have violated traffic regulations and was reported by the authorities. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. This serves as a reminder to be cautious while on the road and to maintain a safe distance from large vehicles.
