In Taipei's Wanhua District, a concrete mixer truck hit a woman while making a right turn, resulting in her death. Due to the lack of identification and a mobile phone on the woman, the authorities initially had difficulty confirming her identity. However, after her family reported her missing in New Taipei City, they identified her based on her clothing and characteristics, confirming her as a 73-year-old woman named Chen. The family, shocked by the news, discovered that she had left home alone without specifying her destination, and tragically found out she was killed by the truck in Wanhua District. The driver, with a blood alcohol content of 0.11, was detained for investigation on charges of public endangerment and involuntary manslaughter.
