A woman in her twenties sought gynecological help due to white discharge and foul odor from her intimate area, causing colleagues to smell it and her to isolate herself in embarrassment. Treatment initially failed until it was discovered that her poor laundry habits were to blame, washing underwear by hand with shower gel instead of using detergent causing a yeast infection. After switching to machine washing with antibacterial detergent and separating innerwear from regular clothing, she no longer experienced symptoms after six months.
