A woman in her 40s was hit by a commuter train at a level crossing on New Guang Road in Pingzhen for unknown reasons around 23:08 on June 20. Railway police and firefighters arrived at the scene upon receiving the report and found the woman had lost vital signs. She was then rushed to Lianxin International Hospital for emergency treatment. The incident caused the suspension of train services between Zhongli to Puxin, with operations resuming after investigations. Further details of the accident are pending police investigation.
