A woman in New Zealand took her long-time boyfriend to court for not giving her a ride to the airport, which she claims violated a verbal contract and caused her to miss her flight, resulting in a one-day delay. The court ruled against her, stating that social arrangements made by partners, friends, and colleagues usually do not have legal binding unless actions are taken to indicate the intent to be bound by the commitment.
