In Pingtung, Taiwan, a woman surnamed Hong sued her brother and nephew for verbally abusing her with a 400-second chant, claiming it caused her emotional distress and led to a liver abscess that required emergency treatment. However, a judge calculated the duration differently, ruling against the woman due to inconsistencies between her claims and the facts. The judge also found a lack of medical evidence linking the abuse to the illness, but the woman can appeal the decision.
