On July 4, 2024, at 4:54 AM, a 54-year-old woman named Luo Yixin vandalized various areas of the Taichung Metro Jiude Station with spray paint, leaving quotes from Master Hsing Yun such as 'Keep a good heart, discard the dross and select the essential'. The woman stated that her actions were to promote Buddhist teachings. After reviewing over 50 surveillance cameras, the police arrested the woman. She faces charges of property damage and may also be violating public transport laws, with possible fines ranging from NT$10,000 to NT$1,000,000.
