A 47-year-old woman named W suffered from sleep disorders due to irregular daily routines and sought medical help at Taipei Medical University Hsinchu Hospital. Despite not smoking, her mother and sister died from lung cancer. After undergoing LDCT screening as recommended by a doctor, a 1.2cm nodule was found in her left lung, leading to a diagnosis of stage I lung adenocarcinoma. Successful surgery removed the tumor, with a doctor emphasizing the importance of early detection through screening programs to improve survival rates significantly.
