World's Largest Naval Exercise with 29 Countries Participating to Encourage Beijing to Stop Bullying Neighbors

Reported 12 months ago

The United States and 28 partner countries are conducting the world's largest 'RIMPAC' exercise near Hawaii, involving nations like the UK, France, Brazil, and Israel. This exercise aims to send a strong message to China to cease bullying its neighbors. With 29 countries participating, the international cooperation reaches an unprecedented scale, including 40 surface ships, over 150 aircraft, three submarines, and 25,000 personnel. The exercise, held every two years, serves to deter and counter the threat of Chinese aggression towards Indo-Pacific freedom and openness. China was not invited, and analysts point out past instances where China exploited such invitations for intelligence gathering and militarizing international waters, including recent provocative actions towards Taiwan and the Philippines.
