World's Top 3 CSPs All Invested in Taiwan

Reported about 1 year ago

Following international chip giants like NVIDIA and AMD increasing their investments in Taiwan, global cloud leader Amazon Web Services (AWS) has finalized a large data center investment, making it the third major cloud service provider to establish a large data center in Taiwan after Google and Microsoft. With AWS's upcoming announcement, all three major cloud service providers have now set foot in Taiwan, changing the global hardware industry landscape and intensifying software sector investments as well. AWS's investment, estimated at about $100 million in the initial stage, is expected to include multiple data center constructions in different science parks across Taiwan. The move signifies the trend in enterprise cloud adoption and helps comply with regulations requiring sensitive data to remain within national borders for certain industries like finance and government.
