During the 'Anti-Authoritarianism, Defend Democracy' rally in Taipei on June 16, held by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), DPP Legislator Wu Pei-yi criticized Huang Kuo-chang for deceiving the public about discussing bills in the legislature, as Huang had only spoken for 25 seconds and did not raise his hand. Wu Pei-yi emphasized the importance of standing up for Taiwan's democracy and encouraged unity among those who cherish Taiwan. She also urged support for reviewing bills and not giving up on opportunities to communicate with one another, highlighting the fragility of Taiwan's democracy.
