Actor and painter Wu Xiangzhen made time to visit the preview of American contemporary avant-garde artist Hugh Benckleffer's solo exhibition 'The World Dominated by Money' at Taipei's Impressions Gallery. Wu, resonating with Benckleffer's currency-themed artworks as a Taurus male, expressed his deep appreciation, especially moved by the phrase 'hope to retain the joy of every artwork' found within the exhibits. The exhibition aims to present the artist's reinterpretation of the intrinsic levels of currency through unique visual language, providing viewers with an impactful visual feast. Wu's favorite piece from Benckleffer's display is 'Fifty Cents on Mount Fuji in Showa 13', which he described as possessing a tranquil yet mysterious feeling, reminiscent of entering a sci-fi movie akin to Avatar, where the serene Mount Fuji seems to come to life. The 'The World Dominated by Money' exhibition by Hugh Benckleffer will open at Taipei's Impressions Gallery from 3 pm on June 15th until July 6th.
