Chiu Chui-Cheng, head of Mainland Affairs Council, clarified during a press conference that he never said 'it's true' regarding the investigation into a Taiwan TV station's broadcast, being monitored by a Xinhua News Agency journalist. Chiu emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, with respect to both administrative and judicial processes. He explained that his previous statement was misinterpreted as confirming the incident, when in fact he was referring to the investigation itself. Chiu emphasized the importance of following regulations for mainland media stationed in Taiwan, highlighting specific laws and rules they must adhere to.
