At a press conference outside the DPP caucus, Xu Qiaoxin appeared and used a measuring tape to measure 1 meter, claiming to support Chen Yujen. This came after KMT legislator Chen Yujen burst in and protested being accused of monitoring outside a DPP caucus meeting. Xu Qiaoxin's gesture was to show solidarity with Chen Yujen and to assert her right to be in a public area without infringing on the DPP caucus. She stated she did not come to provoke conflict but to express her rights and support. Xu Qiaoxin's actions aimed to show that all 54 blue camp legislators stand with Chen Yujen.
