In a game between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Angels, a bizarre infield fly interference play led to Yankees' Juan Soto being called out for interference after Angels shortstop Zach Neto collided with him as he was reaching for second base. This resulted in Yankees manager Aaron Boone being ejected for arguing the call. Despite the confusion, the Yankees went on to win 2-1 with a strong performance from starting pitcher Luis Gil.
