Reported 8 months ago

The 'Road Traffic Management Penalty Regulations' promoting pedestrian courtesy, known as the 'Pedestrian Emperor Clause,' have been in effect for a year as of June 30, 2023. Data analysis from 'TPOC Taiwan Issue Research Center' through 'QuickseeK Public Opinion Database' on internet discussions related to pedestrian and traffic safety sentiments in the past six months (December 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024) compared the online engagement levels in the six major cities. The analysis shows that there is still significant room for improvement in the perceptions of pedestrian safety, with different cities having varying levels of positive and negative sentiments on the topic.
