According to a survey by Mastercard, despite the rising consumer price index (CPI) causing financial pressure, Taiwanese are willing to spend on beauty, exercise, and leisure to enhance their appearance, physique, and health; some are generating extra income through investment and side jobs to pursue a high-quality lifestyle. The survey also reveals that people are becoming wiser in managing expenses by opting for affordable alternatives and discounts, with a significant portion investing in beauty and spending on average over NT$10,000 annually in the medical aesthetics field, particularly the younger demographic. Additionally, the trend of exercise is thriving with many willing to invest in fitness activities, indicating a growing interest in maintaining both physical appearance and well-being.
