According to CTWANT Weekly and China Times, as of June 29, 2024, the youth unemployment rate is as high as 11.33%, which is 5 times higher than that of middle-aged and older adults. Experts are concerned that the current generation of young adults may face challenges in their career development, leading to a phenomenon of having high education levels but low job satisfaction and financial stability, potentially resulting in difficulties with homeownership, marriage, and starting a family – a cycle referred to as 'youth poverty.'
