On June 12, 2024, at 9:47 AM, YouTuber 'Guanzhang' Chen Zhihan's gym 'Genghis Khan' in North District, Taichung was hit by a truck. The truck crashed into the gym lobby for unknown reasons, and 2 individuals in the vehicle were arrested by the police. Investigators do not rule out the possibility of a revenge attack, and further details are under investigation. 'Guanzhang' Chen Zhihan expressed that the incident was not simple and requested assistance from Taichung Mayor Lu Xiuyan for clarification. Witnesses reported that the truck caused panic among gym-goers, damaging the premises, with popular internet personality 'Wo Shi Lai Rui' also present at the scene and describing it as 'scary'. Chen Zhihan suspected that one of the suspects had previously applied to work as a coach at the gym but was not accepted, which may have led to the incident. Despite the incident, 'Genghis Khan' Taichung branch assured members that operations would continue, and repairs would be made promptly.
