Yuanshan Bank Approved to Establish Kumamoto Branch! Strengthening Local Financial Services in Kyushu

Reported 12 months ago

Kyushu is a key hub for Japan's semiconductor and automobile industries, and Kumamoto is the second-largest prefecture in Kyushu, with rapid developments in local semiconductor, manufacturing, logistics, software, and other tech industries in recent years. Yuanshan Bank set up a Fukuoka branch in July 2023, becoming the first Taiwanese bank to establish a presence in Kyushu. On June 24, they were officially approved by the Japanese Financial Services Agency to establish a Kumamoto branch (sub-branch), set to open in October, to serve local companies and Taiwanese businesses. The establishment of the Kumamoto branch will allow for enhanced services for the semiconductor supply chain and local customers, collaborating with Yuanshan Bank's Fukuoka branch, Kyushu Financial Group, and local business associations to provide customers with improved financial services, grasp local market information and industry trends, identify cooperation and investment opportunities with supply chain manufacturers, and assist in the flourishing of the semiconductor industries in Japan and Taiwan.
