Yulin Elementary School and the Taiwan Native Fish Conservation Association collaborated to host an event titled 'Ecological Restoration of Native Fish at Yulin Ecological Pond' where students participated in the restoration of the nationally endangered species Kuichikisai Loach, which is unique to Taiwan according to the 2017 Red List of Taiwan Freshwater Fish. Through close observation and practical restoration actions, students are encouraged to pay attention to environmental sustainability. The collaboration resulted in Yulin Elementary School becoming the first school in New Taipei City to restore the Taiwania endemic species Kuichikisai Loach. The school's ecological pond not only restores Taiwan's native fish but also preserves the survival patterns of native plants, promoting environmental awareness and conservation among students.
