The Yunlin County Police Bureau clarified the controversy surrounding police officer Lin Yuhong's year-end evaluation being rated as Grade B after he was injured in a shootout while bravely fighting back on duty. The Bureau acknowledged the oversight in evaluating Lin's contribution and has actively assisted him in seeking a reevaluation through relief channels, as well as applying for a special performance evaluation to ensure justice for all colleagues. Internal discussions are ongoing to improve the evaluation system to uphold the rights and morale of police officers. Various officials, including the Minister of the Interior, the Director of the Police Agency, and the Yunlin County Magistrate, have expressed concern and instructed full assistance for Lin to safeguard the rights of fellow officers, while also appreciating the hard work of frontline police officers.
