Former Chairman of the Forward Foundation, Zheng Wen-Can, was involved in a land development case, with Taoyuan District Court originally ordering a five million bail, but the prosecution appealed. Today (8th), the original release order was revoked and sent back to the Taoyuan court. The handling judge decided to reopen the detention hearing tomorrow morning at ten o'clock. Meanwhile, the DPP Clean Government Committee decided to register a case, stating that if detention is ordered, a three-year suspension will be imposed. The High Court pointed out that the Taoyuan court failed to justify why Zheng Wen-Can was not detained, the necessity and basis for it, and why the bail of five million was issued, stating that Taoyuan court's lack of reasoning for the decision led to the revocation and sending it back. The public is closely watching whether the Taoyuan court will reverse detention or increase the bail amount during the upcoming detention hearing.
