Zheng Wen Can implicated in corruption case, next target Ko Wen-je? Revealed Lai Ching-te's 'death note' list

Reported about 1 year ago

Former Mayor of Taoyuan, Zheng Wen Can, recently implicated in a corruption case and granted bail of 5 million NT dollars, has resigned from the position of Chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation, emphasizing 'putting public interest over private gain, not being greedy.' Media veteran Huang Yangming stated that President Lai Ching-te has a 'death note' list, and the next target will not be DPP Legislative Yuan Caucus Convener Ko Wen-je. Instead, Lai might target Ko Wen-je, or even other individuals, including President Tsai Ing-wen. Huang Yangming expressed that it will not be Ko Wen-je, as Lai's focus will be on those who engaged in opportunistic behavior, particularly those who attacked him with an online army in 2019. They are likely on Lai's 'death note' list but not the current priority. Huang also highlighted Lai's strong political stance against corruption and impartiality in handling illegal issues, stressing that Zheng Wen Can has likely realized the seriousness of the situation. Zheng Wen Can also released a statement emphasizing his commitment to integrity and defending his innocence during the judicial investigation process.
