Nationalist Party legislator Xu Qiaoxin's elder sister Liu Xiangjie, Du Bingcheng and his wife, and Liu's girlfriend Lin Yulun are suspected of joining a fraud group to help launder NT$27,535,561. Initially denying the accusations, Du Bingcheng unexpectedly admitted guilt in court, becoming emotional and causing his hand to tremble, prompting security personnel to step in. Du Bingcheng claimed he was not part of a fraud group but was manipulated by a currency trader associated with the group. He continued to make various statements, including being subject to a special security inspection after revealing information about Xu Qiaoxin.
