On July 18, a tragic accident occurred on Nantou Highway where a red motorcycle collided head-on with a cargo truck, resulting in the biker's immediate death. The incident took place in the Taimali area during the early morning hours, with both vehicles reportedly traveling at high speeds. Witnesses described a gruesome scene as the motorcycle was severely damaged and the rider suffered critical injuries, including the loss of a leg. The truck driver was trapped but eventually rescued and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
