Microwave heating is convenient and fast, relying on the impact of water molecules for heating without producing radiation, debunking the myth of radiation risks. Nurse Tan Dunzi from Linkou Chang Gung Hospital highlighted the danger of using plastic, Melamine, metal-rimmed, and Tupperware containers for heating, as they are prone to toxins. Tan emphasized the importance of using safe containers to avoid ingesting harmful substances, ensuring the safety of children. Nutritionist Liao Minhhan pointed out that microwave heating preserves nutrients better than traditional methods, minimizing nutrient loss and maintaining vegetable antioxidant properties. Despite concerns, as long as precautions are taken with container materials, microwave heating does not pose health risks.
