Reported 5 months ago

The phenomenon of a 'late society' where employment, marriage, and childbirth are being postponed is gradually changing the pace of life for South Koreans, as revealed by recent data from the Korean Statistics Bureau. With over 30% of those aged 70 and above still in the workforce, and the employment numbers for this age group hitting a record high, the trend of older people working for financial gain or personal fulfillment might become a new standard in South Korean society. The increase in employment among the 70 and above age group has been significant, surpassing all other age demographics, while the employment rate for this group has risen from 22.7% to 30.2%, depicting a shift towards a more economically active senior population.
