San Diego Padres placed 4-time All-Star Xander Bogaerts on the 10-day injured list after diagnosing him with a fractured left shoulder socket, expecting him to be sidelined for 2-3 months. The injury occurred when Bogaerts dove for a ball during a game against the Atlanta Braves. Although initial X-rays showed no structural damage and he was listed as day-to-day with inflammation, an MRI later revealed the fracture. Despite the timeline given by the team, Bogaerts expressed confidence in returning sooner than anticipated. In his absence, David Peralta has been called up to the active roster.
