In Taichung, Taiwan, authorities discovered two boutiques selling cheap counterfeit luxury goods such as Chanel, LV, Celine, and Fendi at 10% of the market price, deceiving many customers. The shops were found to be importing the fake goods from mainland China. Three women were arrested and nearly 5000 counterfeit items were seized. The total estimated infringement value exceeded NT$200 million, making it one of the largest counterfeit luxury goods cases in recent years. The case will be investigated by the Taichung District Prosecutors Office for violation of the Trademark Law.
