A $1 million 80-foot luxury yacht named Atlantis sank off the coast of Florida, with two passengers rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard near St. Augustine Beach. The yacht hit an object in the water causing it to sink. The vessel, a Sunseeker Predator 80 built in the UK, had two Caterpillar diesel engines and a top speed of 44 kn. The incident is under investigation for its cause, and the owner will arrange for its salvage.
