Bailey Anne Kennedy made history by becoming the first transgender woman and Asian American to win the Miss Maryland USA title. At 31 years old, Kennedy decided to compete in her first pageant and ended up making an impact on her community, especially the LGBTQIA+ community, military spouses, and immigrant women. She hopes her win will inspire others to be themselves and pursue their dreams, regardless of age, gender, or background.
