A 20-year-old volunteer soldier in the eastern division of the Coast Guard Bureau was electrocuted while showering for unknown reasons, leading to unconsciousness and no breathing heartbeat in the dormitory bathroom. After receiving a rescue call, the fire department arrived at 7:35 pm and found visible electrocution marks on the soldier, who was eventually resuscitated but remains in a low-coma state. He has been rushed to Mackay Hospital for further treatment. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation.
