The 2024 Golden Melody Awards saw Sun Shengxi winning Best Female Singer, MC HotDog winning Song King and Best Lyricist awards. Cao Dong, besides winning Best Band, also took home Album of the Year and Best Mandarin Album for 'Wahab'. Xu Jun won Best Composer beating out strong competitors, and Xumeng reunited after 11 years to win Best Vocal Group. Other winners include Makav for Best Indigenous Language Album, Su Mingyuan and Huang Fei for Best Taiwanese Male and Female Singer respectively. The awards ceremony was hosted by Lulu, with Chen Mingzhu and Huang Weijin as hosts for the Star Avenue. Various guest performers and presenters attended the event, celebrating the achievements in music.
