On June 24, 2024, at 10:22 PM, a 30-year-old policeman named Wang accidentally fell from a river embankment wall to the motorcycle lane near a water pumping station in Sanzhong District, New Taipei City, sustaining fatal injuries. His father, devastated by the loss, identified the body and was overcome with grief, lamenting that the family lineage had been broken. Wang, who grew up in Yunlin, had been serving at the Yonghe Police Station in New Taipei City and was known for his dedication to work. The police are investigating the incident, where Wang fell from the embankment while walking alone after a gathering with friends, potentially due to unfamiliar road conditions and dense vegetation.
