On June 17, 2024, at around 12:30 p.m., a 4-car chain collision occurred at the 14.1-kilometer mark on National Highway 2 westbound, resulting in a sand truck forming a 'ㄑ' shape and a taxi being squeezed in the middle. The accident left 3 people lightly injured, with the cause still under investigation.
