In the early morning of June 25, 2024, four Chinese Coast Guard ships intruded into waters near Kinmen, prompting the Coast Guard Administration to dispatch three patrol ships to warn and monitor them. The Chinese ships were closely monitored and escorted out of the restricted area after about two hours. This incident is part of a series of recent provocations by Chinese ships in Taiwan's waters, with tensions escalating as Chinese vessels continue to intrude into Taiwan's waters.
