Regardless of being on a shaky train, waiting momentarily at a traffic light to cross the road, or during lunch break, many people have become accustomed to constantly checking their smartphones. A survey conducted by market research and analysis company Cross Marketing revealed that over 70% of respondents have personally experienced eye fatigue, with 29% often feeling it and 41% occasionally. This totals to 70% experiencing eye fatigue, especially prominent in the 50-59 age group. 10% of respondents feel they severely rely on smartphones, 34% to some extent, totaling to 44% perceiving they have smartphone dependence. Strategies like 'digital detox' are seen as ways to combat smartphone dependence, but awareness is low, with only a third of participants recognizing the issue.
