Today, being the last day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, traffic on the highways in Taiwan was relatively smooth in the morning. However, the National Freeway Bureau warned of possible congestion on National Highway 5 northbound between Yilan and Pinglin. The return traffic flow on the western highways is expected to peak after noon. Travelers are advised to set off early to avoid potential congestion, especially in certain key highway sections and popular tourist spots.
