On June 24, 2024, male star Tang Chih-Ping, 73, had his mother's body discovered on the rooftop of a building in Tamsui. Despite the police identifying the body as his mother, Tang insists it is not her. Tang appeared on TV and kneeled down, repeatedly declaring that the deceased is not his mother. He refuses to acknowledge the death of his mother and plans to report her as missing if she doesn't show up. The body is currently being held in a funeral home in Banqiao and will be cremated if not claimed. Tang's kneeling incident on TV was due to a misunderstanding with the security guard about a drink. He emphasized that his mother is missing, not dead, hoping for job opportunities and expressing frustration at being pressured to identify the body.
