On July 8, 2024, the short-term training program for cultivating African elite talent in agriculture began with the aim of using Taiwan's advanced agricultural technology to assist African countries in fostering talent in the agricultural field. The program is part of the 'Africa We Want 2063 Agenda' and includes participants from eight countries such as Swaziland, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, and Libya. The training, organized by National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, will last for three weeks and focus on practical agricultural skills and knowledge about the Taiwanese agricultural market to enhance participants' capabilities and promote bilateral agricultural education exchange.
